The UT Blood and Marrow Transplant Center is a full service facility. Every step of treatment is conducted on-site at Methodist University Hospital. Among the components of our comprehensive service package are the following:
- Comfortable guest rooms adjacent to the outpatient center for out-of-town patients and caregivers.
- Transplant coordinators to arrange all aspects of clinical and support services. Coordinators focus particularly on patient education and work to facilitate communication between patients and medical staff.
- A financial coordinator and patient advocate to explain financial issues before treatment, and to manage the reimbursement process during and after treatment.
- A fully equipped Oncology Special Care Unit for inpatient stays, separate from other hospital areas and complete with Hepa-filtered rooms.
